Newark Catholic High School graduated a class of 47 seniors in a commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 24 in the school auditorium. A baccalaureate Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, May 19 at Newark Blessed Sacrament Church.
The class valedictorians were Cecilia Geiger, Carmen Kozlowski and Elin Ryen. The salutatorians were Adriana Scarsella and Therese Fullenkamp.





Ninety percent of the graduates will move on to higher education at 24 different campuses. Five students will join the workforce, and 2 received a career technical certification in electrical and construction technology. The class earned $4.8 million in scholarships.

Forty percent of graduates are pursuing majors in STEM (science, technology, education and mathematics) fields of study. Forty-seven percent of class members were involved with the National Honor Society.
The class performed 1,500 hours of community service and helped the school donate 1,939 pounds of food to a local pantry.
