Bishop Earl Fernandes celebrated Ash Wednesday Mass on Feb. 22 in the Ohio Union on the Ohio State University campus for an overflow gathering of students to mark the beginning of Lent.
Concelebrating the Mass were Father Adam Streitenberger, executive director of the St. Thomas More Newman Center at Ohio State, and Msgr. Richard Marchese, a priest in the Diocese of Brooklyn, New York, who served with Bishop Fernandes at the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C.
