This year, The Catholic Foundation proudly celebrates the 20th anniversary of Scott Hartman, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer. Over the past two decades, Scott has played a pivotal role in advancing the Foundation’s mission through visionary leadership, meaningful donor relationships, and an unwavering commitment to serving the Catholic community. His extensive institutional knowledge, dedication to his colleagues, and signature sense of humor have made a lasting impact on both the organization and those it serves.

During Scott’s tenure, the Foundation has experienced remarkable growth. Annual donations to Foundation-managed funds have increased from approximately $5 million to more than $35 million, while annual grants awarded have grown from $5 million to more than $31 million.  These milestones reflect Scott’s steadfast commitment to supporting donors, parishes, schools, and ministries in creating a lasting Catholic legacy.

Among his many contributions, Scott also helped lead one of the Foundation’s most memorable milestones—its relocation to the historic site of the original Wendy’s restaurant—helping position the organization for continued growth and service.

“Scott is a trusted colleague, an outstanding professional, and a faithful servant to our mission,” said Loren Brown, President and CEO of The Catholic Foundation. “Our entire team is blessed to work alongside him and learn from him every day. Reaching 20 years of service is a testament to Scott’s enduring commitment to caring for others and strengthening our Catholic community.”

Outside the office, Scott enjoys cheering on the Columbus Crew and the Pittsburgh Steelers, traveling to new destinations, and spending time outdoors.

Scott and his wife of 24 years, Laura, live in Westerville and are parishioners at St. Paul the Apostle Church. They are the proud parents of Jackson, who will marry Avery in June 2027, Lily, and Will. As Scott celebrates this milestone, The Catholic Foundation extends its gratitude for his faithful leadership and looks forward to the many ways he will continue to inspire generosity and advance its mission in the years ahead.
