Dear Graduating Class of 2022,

On behalf of the Office of Catholic Schools and the 52 Catholic schools in the Diocese of Columbus, congratulations on your graduation!

We hope you know that we are proud of you and proud of all that you have accomplished in your years in Our Catholic Schools.  You have persevered through so many challenges, many unprecedented, and have achieved tremendous successes in your high school career. Across our Diocese, you join 1,100 students who will walk across stages at eleven Catholic high schools, well prepared to face the future.

Many of you, our graduates, are completing a journey through thirteen or more years of Catholic schooling.  You have formed close bonds with each other and with your principals and teachers in that time.  You have had tremendous experiences and made wonderful memories while building a relationship with Jesus and our Church.

It is the hope of all of us who work in Catholic education that you are ready to be young men and women of faith, ready to serve our Church and our world.  We encourage you to live out the faith you have learned, remembering St. Paul’s encouragement to “persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:2).  We thank God for the good you have seen and done in high school, and we are confident that the Lord will walk with you through the adventures ahead.

Once again, to the graduating class of the Diocese of Columbus of 2022, congratulations.  To the dedicated teachers, administrators, and parents who have done so much to bring our graduates to where they are today, thank you. Be assured that we are all praying for you!

Dr. Adam J. Dufault is the Superintendent of Catholic Schools.
