Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School science teacher Riley Stone was interviewed by police this week and acknowledged inappropriate conduct with a former student occurred in 2019. Allegations of inappropriate behavior first came to light when the former student shared their story with school staff last week. The allegations were promptly reported to the proper authorities and officials. Stone’s employment with Tuscarawas Central Catholic was terminated on July 20 as a result. She was employed by TCC for five years.   

Student safety and well-being are of the utmost importance to the administration and the Diocese of Columbus. TCC and the Diocese of Columbus take child protection seriously.  The Diocese of Columbus remains vigilant in combating the perception and reality of child abuse.
