Columbus Bishop Ready High School principal Matthew Brickner presented diplomas to 104 graduates during the school’s 59th commencement ceremony on Saturday, June 3 in the school gymnasium. A Baccalaureate Mass was celebrated on Friday, June 2 at Grove City Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
The Class of 2023 earned $15.9 million in scholarships. The valedictorian was Jessica Perez of Columbus. She plans to attend the University of Notre Dame on full scholarship. The salutatorian was Katherine Radwanski of Columbus. She plans to attend Ohio State University on scholarship.
Honors graduates were Ava Christine Baker, Taylor Cain, Caleigh Cheatham, Jayden Deal, Cullen Dent, Mirabella DeTillio, Sofia DiNovo, Brian Fitzsimmons, Nora Foley, Dayana Garcia Hernandez, Raya Gardner, Julian Howell, Kyle Hughes, Alana Ionno, Leah Kaufman and Melina Kopczewski.

Seniors Jennifer Pond and Kaleb Schaffer were inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame.
Ninety percent of the class will be attending one of 30 institutions of higher education, including Zachary Swierz, who is heading for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, and Charlie Russell, who will attend the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Three percent of class members will enlist in the U.S. Army, Navy or Marine Corps.
The class contributed approximately 3,000 service hours.
