Funeral Mass for Deacon Bartholomew F. “Bart” Supino Jr., 91, who died Saturday, Aug. 22, was celebrated Friday, Aug. 28 at Wellston Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Burial will take place later.
He was born Jan. 1, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York, to Bartholomew and Margaret (Paul) Supino and was a retired employee of the Nissan Motor Corp and the American Red Cross and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves.

He was ordained a deacon of the Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas, on June 7, 2003 by Fort Worth Bishop Joseph E. McCarthy. He retired from active ministry in 2006 and moved to Wellston to live with a daughter, Joanne Atwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joan (Zenker). Survivors include his daughter, Joanne (Mike) Atwood; sons Bart (Judy), Mark (Debbie) and Paul (Amy); brothers Robert and Ronny (Janet); a sister, Victoria Wilkinson, and 11 grandchildren.
