Columbus St. Charles Preparatory School presented diplomas to 111 members of the Class of 2026 during its commencement ceremony, preceded by a baccalaureate Mass, on Friday, May 22 in the Robert C. Walter Student Commons.
Ninety-five percent of the graduates will be going to four-year colleges, 3 percent to two-year colleges and 2 percent taking a gap year in the fall. They will be attending 44 different colleges. The class earned nearly $41.8 million in scholarship money and performed 8,000 hours of community service.

Eleven of the graduates were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corp./College Board. James Brunton, Isaac Dryfuse, Noah Grant, Tommy Fickell and Alex Wu were National Merit finalists. Jack Bakhshi, Adrian Clarke-Gil, Mila Jacob Lloyd, Milan “Joey” Lillis, Max Paxton and Brady Ritchie were commended scholars.
Dryfuse received a merit scholarship to the University of Notre Dame for the University of Notre Dame’s Stinson Scholars Program for those majoring in engineering. He was also named the school’s representative to the All-Diocesan Academic Team.
Lillis and Pierce Bateman accepted appointments to the U.S. Air Force Academy. Rowan Price accepted a full Army ROTC Scholarship to Xavier University.
Scott Thompson, Jr. received a full-ride scholarship to Tuskegee University. He and Grant were the inaugural recipients of the school’s Monsignor William Dunn Scholarship.
Ranjeet Voruganti was awarded the Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies and will attend John Carroll University.
Elias Golla received The Ohio State University’s Morrill Scholarship and was also the recipient of the school’s 2025-2026 S.J. Dilenschneider Award.
State swimming and water polo champions Jake Lloyd (Arizona State University) and Austin Carpenter (University of Texas) were named the school’s 2025-2026 Jack Ryan Scholar-Athletes.
Zachary Utt will begin his journey as a seminarian for the Diocese of Columbus at Pontifical College Josephinum.
